On a nice Feb morning for a run, we had nineteen runners and volunteers turn up. It was great not to deal with rain, wind or ice for once and I, for one, am looking forward to the days getting brighter and warmer. A big welcome to our new joiners Holly, Jenny and Joseph (and baby :-) ) - hope you enjoyed running with us. We also had some PBs today - well done to you.
It wasn't the most appealing morning to jump out of bed and go for a run. The biting easterly wind and snow showers would have put anyone off - except for twenty keen runners and volunteers 8| Well done to you all. We even had a few PBs today - really good considering the soggy conditions underfoot.
It was a deceivingly cold morning, judging by the line of shivering runners waiting under the warm swimming pool outlet vent for the run to start :D The sun did peek out from time to time, making it a pleasant run overall. A big welcome to our new joiners Antony and Lee. Well done to those who got PBs.
'Twas a little soggy this morning, but fortunately the rain stayed away this time, so it was quite nice for a run. Well done to all twenty runners who joined us. We had a surprising number of PBs today - there must have been rocket fuel in the water this morning :-) Big welcome to Matt and Clara who joined us this morning. Hope you had fun.
Don't forget - if you'd like to volunteer to help out, give Trevor a shout. We're always looking for people to join our volunteer rota (the pay and benefits are very competitive ;-) )
On a beautifully sunny but cold morning, twenty four runners joined us for our 5k. The ground was in very good condition and firm, thanks to the frozen surface. This allowed a few people to achieve PBs - well done to you all. A big welcome to Claire, Jess, James and Stan who joined us for their first runs. Also to Danielle who visited whilst on holiday here.
Don't forget - if you'd like to volunteer to help out, give Trevor a shout. We're always looking for people to join our volunteer rota.
Well done to all who joined us on this soggy morning. The slippery surface didn't stop Tim and Emily from achieving PBs - kudos to you both. A big welcome to Ian and Al who joined us for the first time today - hope you enjoyed it in spite of the rain. We'll be back as usual at 9am next Sunday. Don't forget - if you'd like to volunteer to help out, give Trevor a shout. We're always looking for people to join our volunteer rota.
Soggy Morning in January - isn't that a song? If not, it should be :-) It was one of those days where you'd be more inclined to stay in bed. However, in spite of that, seventeen runners turned up to join us for a 5k. It was lovely to welcome four new joiners (good to see you Nick, Darren, Ryan and Greg). Hope today's weather hasn't put you off! Well done to Lee and Tim for achieving PBs in spite of the slippery surface - clearly you didn't drink and eat enough over Christmas!!
Happy New Year to all :-) Well done to those who joined us on our first run for 2017. As it's the start of the new year, I can safely award everyone Season Bests!. You need to beat your time from now on, though! The weather was kind to us too - I've noticed many times previously that the rain started just as we were getting going. Today, the rain waited until we were home and dry - how kind :-)
It was a foggy and murky morning, but that didn't stop seventeen intrepid runners from joining us for 5k. It was our 109th run and we had three PBs (well done to you), two guests and a new joiner - welcome to you all and hope you had fun :-) As a reminder - there will be no run next week, but we will be back again on New Year's Day.
Sunny, crisp, fresh, dry, crunchy - I could go on all day listing words to describe today's run. It was such a lovely morning. Welcome to Ewan, who put in a fantastic first run with us. Also, well done to Elena and Mei who had PBs. Don't forget the Santa Dash next weekend - It'll be great fun.
Well done to all who joined us for a run this morning. It was a decent-ish morning for a jog - at least the rain and wind stayed away. In spite of the sogginess underfoot, there were four PBs today (well done Leonie, Iain, Flo and Mandie - great running). A big welcome to Lee and Tim - hope you enjoyed running with us and will be back for more! A few facts:- Today was our 105th RRP - they're racking up now :-) We have had 406 runners join us since beginning in November 2014. Rose Thompson has run with us 62 times (sucker for punishment!), Andy Vere 60 times, Laura Waterton 54 times and Debbie Williams 53 times.
Well done to all hardy souls and volunteers who came along this morning in spite of the miserable weather. Last week was our 2nd anniversary - it was sunny - shame the start of our 3rd year was not as nice. Still, we love to run and the weather doesn't stop us! A big welcome to Guy - hope you enjoyed this and will come back again. Well done to Mei, who matched her PB and to Cerys who set a PB - quite a feat on a day like today.
The sun shone for us this morning and despite all the rain yesterday the course was still in good condition. We welcomed Russell and Greg on their first runs, and saw PBs from Mei (who just gets faster and faster) and Vicky. Well done to Julian who crossed the line first but questions were asked about the legality of his colourful running tights which may have given him an unfair advantage.
On a cold and frosty morning, 14 runners opted to run around Wades Park instead of the more traditional mulberry bush. In surprisingly good conditions David continued his winning streak and we had PBs from Shane, Elena and Mei (yet again!) Well done to everyone!
After the luxury of an extra hour in bed this morning, we had an excellent turn out. As usual David led the way home and Mei set yet another PB! A big welcome to our first-time runners - we hope to see you again very soon.
It was a lovely morning for a run. The sun was out and there was little or no breeze - really pleasant and such a big difference from last week. Well done to all who joined us. Kudos again to Mei who continues to shave time off her PB each time she runs - it's great to see her regular running paying off. David Adams put in another strong run - getting to be a habit these days :-) Just a heads up that we are planning a Santa Dash on December 11th in aid of charity - it should be a lot of fun. More details to follow.
What can I say about this morning, except yuk! It's not helping that the sun has just come out as I'm typing this message! Not a day for PBs, unless you're a duck - but that didn't stop Mei from racking up her best run so far (well done Mei). Also, a big welcome to Farnaz who chose today for her first run - well done, and remember, it only gets better from here! By the way, this is our 100th RRP. From our humble beginnings almost two years ago when four of us ran, we now have 388 registered runners.
Well done to all who joined us for 5k on this lovely morning. The park was in great condition, as ever, although the grass was quite wet after yesterday's rain. This made things a little slippy underfoot - if you have trail shoes then it might be a good idea to wear these for the rest of the year, just to give a bit more grip. We continue to have new people join us every week and are delighted our membership is growing. Next month will be our 2nd anniversary, and we currently have 386 registered runners. Hope you all enjoyed the run, and if you have any suggestions for changes/improvements in how we do things, I would be delighted to hear them :-)
Good run today, everyone :-) The sun didn't peek out, but it was still a pleasant enough morning for a 5k jog around the park. Lots of guests today - good to see you all. Also, a big welcome to our new joiners. It's great to see the course being used not just for 5k, but also for one, two or three laps. It's all about getting out and having a run with friends!
It turned out to be a lovely morning for a run. The grass was wet after the overnight rain, but the park continues to be in great condition and hazy sunshine bathed the joggers in warmth as they performed their feats of athletic endurance! It was lovely to have new joiners and guests come along today, in addition to our more regular runners. Lots of kids too, which is great to see :-)
Well done to all who joined us this morning. In spite of the recent heavy rain, the ground was in very good condition. A big welcome to our guests and new joiners - hope you enjoyed the run. It's great also to see lots of families come along and run one, two or three (or whatever is suitable) laps.
What a lovely sunny morning for a run. The ground was pretty damp after yesterday's rainfall, but otherwise the course was in great condition. Great to see Risborough Rangers JFC back as well - added a buzz to the park. Well done to all that took part. It's great to see more and more people coming to join in with whatever distance they were comfortable with - it's not just about doing 5k, but getting out and running with others in a friendly environment. Special mention to Rose Thompson who has now run 56 times with us. Followed closely by Andy Vere with 53 runs. Pretty soon we will have three more runners join the 50-run brigade - John Romaya (48 runs), Laura Waterton (46 runs) and Debbie Williams (44 runs).
It rained, and it wasn't supposed to :-) Still, the light showers didn't ruin the enjoyment of the morning and, in fact, cooled things down nicely for the runners. Standing around at the finish line getting rained on was a different matter, however (thanks Louise!) :-) Well done to all 27 runners who came along. We had some first timers - delighted you joined us - and some good PBs in there as well. Particular kudos to youngster Noah Brookes who ran all 6 laps, Andy Duffy who ran 5k in 22:09 while pushing a buggy and Kali who is making great strides after not being able to run for a while.
Here we go! It was a little soggy at the start of the race, but it quickly cleared up and turned out to be another nice morning for a run. It was lovely to have so many guest runners join us today - well done everyone! Hope you enjoyed it :-)
